Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s collective conscientiousness for social, environment and governance factors.
Typically, investors use this criteria which provides a form of intangible assets to project future enterprise value. Increasingly, it is not only investors that are socially conscious people who are keeping an eye on ESG but, clients, employees and governments are also watching a company’s ESG performance closely.
What does it mean to SWAT?
Every company needs to perform as a steward to the environment, maintain strong social relationships and ensure governance is a top priority as well. This is relative to everyone and an important consideration of our everyday business.
At SWAT Contractors, we understand that health and safety is of the utmost importance to operating a successful business, which is why it is at the core of everything we do. In order to achieve our health and safety goals, we are committed to a robust training program, ensuring that all of our employees are properly trained and certified to operate our heavy equipment, making sure they return home safe each and every day.
By fostering a culture designed to create a safe and respectful workplace, with a health commitment to work-life balance, SWAT Contractors prides ourselves on being a company that people want to work for and one that companies want to work with.
Through accountability and continuous improvement initiatives, we are committed to upholding the highest levels of safety standards in the industry. Safety isn’t an idea, its an attitude

Mr. Jesse Waddell, P.Eng., is a Professional Civil Engineer and started his career by spending 6 years working in the engineering consulting industry for one of the world’s largest engineering consulting firms. As a project Engineer, Jesse was responsible for overseeing the Calgary, AB concrete and cementitious lab.
